On July 29th and August 16 - 17, 2008. Larry Stephens and Jim Larr originally from Coshocton, Ohio and friends since they were 9 years old made kayak trips on the Muskingum rver in honor of Jim L. Jones, a highscool Redskin football buddy in 1956 -57, who passed before his time.
When they were just kids Larry and Jonesy were sitting on the bank of the River one day and Jonesy asked, "where does that river go? I would like to go down it some day.
Stephens made a committment to do that and got Larr who has a kayak to make the trip with him. They set out on July 29th at the confluence of the Walhonding and Tuscarawas rivers at Coshocton. That trip ws 18 miles completed in 6 hours and lots of laughs. The two camped that night at Coshocton Lake Park, then played Hilltop Golf Course the next morning.
